Scaled for professional equipment, medium format and DSLRs with 200mm lens up to 400mm maximum, Series 3 Aluminum tripods combines high maximum load capacity with outstanding torsional rigidity. The new models are surprisingly lighter than previous versions and offer additional stability thanks to G-lock system. All this makes them popular alternatives to series 2 tripods. All new Series 3 Aluminum tripods now feature a third leg spread to go very low to the ground and take full advantage of the Ground Level Set. * The castings are made of Soulid 238, our unique technical compound which is 30% lighter than magnesium but just as strong and wich has great vibration damping properties. We've incorporated a Basalt center column (20% lighter than aluminium) for further weight reduction and to improve stabilisation and performance. Most importantly, the aluminum tube used for the legs is also new: 30% lighter than its predecessor, with Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR), 1.2mm wall thickness and brushed matt black finish for improved locking performance and minimised reflectivity. We've also put technology to work on the leg warmers: 50% lighter, softer and with a new ergonomic design that maximises grip and comfort when the tripod is carried over the shoulder.
