Yesterday there was Athena, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom that helped the greeks to excel in the arts and inventions.
Today there is Athena by Gitzo, helping photographers to surpass themselves and guiding their creativity towards another dimension of freedom.

Designed for the new generation of remote-controlled digital SLD professional cameras, Athena is the ideal support for nature shots where variability and unpredictability are ever present aspects that can affect the outcome.

It is, however, also great for art photographs taken in architectural or scientific settings when the need to isolate details requires particular placing of the camera.

Athena’s technology ensures a very high precision result .The system, with an outstanding precision of 0.1° on all 3 axes which are fully independent in terms of tilt, pan and level, allows exceptionally controlled movements thanks to the self-levelling mechanism.

Featuring a motor-driven electronic system that can be remote controlled by the user - setting from a computer screen - plus absolutely stable and precise complete 3D movement, Athena stands for a new extraordinary form of reliability.

Its software - compatible with Windows and Mac OS - allows not only to control the movements trough an user friendly joystick interface. It also includes advanced settings and control panels that enable the photographer to fine tune the head performance accordingly to any application and project needs.

All this in a very compact dimension, to provide the best functionalities in a transportable solution.
