How it works

Step 1: Purchases promotional product in store or online

Step 2: Redemption is online only from canon.co.uk/wintercashback or canon.ie/wintercashback. Uploads your proof of purchase (serial number and invoice/receipt). You will also have the option to donate some or all of your cashback amount to the Red Cross (British or Irish) in one simple step.

Step 3: The agency will validate all details, customers will receive an email confirming that their claim is valid and that their cashback is being processed

Step 4: You will receive their payment within 4-6 weeks of your claim being confirmed

Terms & Conditions

1. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PARTICIPATING RETAILERS, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND PARTICIPANTS
1.1. This promotion is only available on purchases made of any of the products listed below (the “Promotional Products”) within the United Kingdom (“UK”) or Republic of Ireland (“ROI”) from one of our participating retailers (“Participating Retailers”) between Wednesday 19th October 2016 and Wednesday 18th January 2017 inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). All other products and retailers are excluded. Products purchased on the Canon e-store (store.canon.co.uk) have cashback automatically applied to the price and are not eligible for additional cashback via the redemption process. Some Promotional Products may be sold as a camera body only or part of a lens kit or bundle but only ONE claim can be made per kit or bundle. So if a kit includes two Promotional Products, the Participant will need to pick one product against which to make a claim. Purchases must be genuine purchases for cash or its equivalent.

1.2. All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in the European Economic Area or Switzerland (“EEA”) (“Participant”).
1.3. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.4. Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies
in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel

2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

2.1. To enter the cashback promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional Product from a Participating Retailer during the Promotional Period AND submit a valid claim online between 00.00 on Wednesday 19th October 2016 and midnight on Saturday 18th February 2017.

2.2. Claims must be submitted by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid EEA product serial number) a claim form online, at www.canon.co.uk/wintercashback or www. canon.ie/wintercashback. Participants will need to scan, upload and attach to the online claim form a copy of their receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases. Participants will then receive an email confirming that their claim has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of processing your claim, or do not have access to a computer, please contact our Claim Hotline on 0800 044 3251.

2.3. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.

2.4. Canon will not process any claims received after the
closing date for receipt of claims of midnight on Saturday 18th February 2017. Canon will not process claims which are in its opinion incomplete or illegible. Canon will not be responsible for claims delayed or not successfully received.
2.5. Only one claim per Promotional Product purchased may be made.
2.6. Claims by businesses or individuals who make bulk purchases (being more than 10 Promotional Products during the Promotional Period) will not be eligible to enter this Promotion. 2.7. This promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion.

3. CASHBACK

3.1. Participants will receive Cashback in the amounts shown for purchases of Promotional Products.

3.2. Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.

3.3. Canon will endeavor to transfer via BACS within 4-6 weeks of receipt of a complete and valid claim.
3.4. Only one BACS payment will be issued per valid claim.
3.5. If you are UK VAT registered and you receive a cashback, it may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and so you may need to reduce your input tax accordingly.

4. RED CROSS DONATION

4.1. In the online claim form, Participants will have the option
to donate all or part of their Cashback amount to the Red
Cross - visit www.canon.co.uk/wintercashback or www.canon.ie/ wintercashback for more details.

4.2. Customers who agree to donate part or all of their cashback and claim Gift Aid agree to have their personal details passed to the British Red Cross. These details will solely be used to claim Gift Aid and will not be used for marketing and/or fundraising purposes unless consent is given to do so.

5. THE PROMOTER

5.1. The promoter is Canon (UK) Ltd. of Woodhatch, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 8BF.

6. DISCLAIMERS

6.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.

6.2. Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever. 6.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if

it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. DATA

7.1. Any personal data submitted to us will be processed by Canon (UK) Limited, its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this Promotion and, if applicable, for marketing purposes – in cases when Participants have opted-in to receive marketing communication from Canon. 7.2. If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form. 7.3. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA.

8. LAW AND JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
