This kit comes equipped with the Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 OIS lens.
The fourth generation of the Fujifilm X-Series digital cameras delivers 4K/60P 10-bit recording, a backlit 26MP X-Trans CMOS sensor, improved AF performance and blackout-free burst shooting.
This fourth-generation 26.1MP APS-C sensor without a low-pass filter uses the unique colour science we've come to love from Fujifilm X-Trans sensors. This is the first back-illuminated sensor used by the X-Series cameras and delivers excellent resolution, control over moire and enhanced ISO range (ISO160).
This new X-Trans processor houses 2.16M individual phase detection pixels, 4 times more than current models and covers an impressive 100% of the frame.
Fast and accurate phase detection is available across the frame and has been extended by 2 stops from -1EV to -3EV, providing good low-light utility.
This camera will metre and focus 1.5 times more frequently than the X-T2 and X-H1.
View your subject through the 3.69-million-dot EVF magnified at 0.75x. A display lag of a mere 0.005 seconds and rapid refresh rate of 100 frames per second help you perceive fluid motion and make precise decisions about subject movement and focus.
Vastly improved processing increases read speed from the sensor. This high-speed processing has resulted in the ability to track and metre your subject while shooting continuously at up to 30fps with a blackout-free shutter. This functionality is only available with the electronic shutter but is very impressive nonetheless.
The 'Pre-Shoot' function will begin recording images as soon as the shutter release is the half-pressed meaning you'll capture additional frames so you can be sure you captured the critical moment.
We're happy to see the design for the X-T3 has been inherited from the X-T2 but with some tweak that will surely enhance the photographer's experience.
The EVF's diopter knob is now lockable to prevent accidental adjustments during transit. The touchscreen now features higher contrast and a wide viewing angle. And a headphone jack has been added to the body to further improve functionality for videographers.
The terminal cover is now removable, supports USB-C and Anker battery packs can be connected to supply additional power for shooting or filming.
Fujifilm is now the first company to offer internal SD card recording of 4K/60P 4:2:0 10bit footage. They are also the first to offer an APS-C sensor capable of 4K/60P 4:2:2 10bit HDMI output.
The video formats available are H.264/MPEG-4 AVC and H.265/HEVC for compressed files, thus enabling the 200Mbps bitrate used to record 4K/60P 10bit footage. Simultaneous recording via the HDMI output is also available.
The sensors read speed is 50% faster than that of the X-T2 and X-H1 and rolling shutter distortion has been greatly improved to cope with the filming of the fast-moving subject matter.
