Really impressed with the camera so far. I will be using it for trips abroad and sports like mountain biking and snowboarding and from the few tests i have done it will be great for these.
The lack of any supplies of the venture case currently is quite frustrating. Insta360 please sort out the production of this accessory!

Glasgow GB I like tech gadgets
great camera, easy to use, fantastic video and photographs.
the app for the phone is a bit 'buggy', crashes sometimes and not 100% reliable. Hopefully this will be fixed in an update.

SOMERTON GB Big Steve Loves Photos
This is a brilliant bit of kit, The camera is very easy to use and adjust and captures quality photos and video.
The good bits - Photos are very good and clear during the day and are better than expected in poorly lit indoor areas (still very good though.) The settings for video recordings are good enough for most users and you can produce some very creative shots.
(I used this along a seafront, holding it straight up on a 10-foot mast - Just walking along. some of the comments on my posted video were that you can't fly a drone there. Which is down to the perspective this camera can give you)

Stabilisation on the camera is also very good and very forgiving if you are putting lots of movement in the camera.

The App, for the time being is where most of your workflow will be conducted, and offers some great features, that allow you to record first and then point the camera in the edit - (this is great if you are a one-man band and at times just wish you could have a little help whilst recording some video)
The over capture feature in the app allows you to record 360 videos and then edit to a conventional 16/9 format, allowing you to choose where the action is captured from.

The hidden selfie stick is also a great feature especially for video, I use the Insta 360 selfie stick, but it also hides my Monopod that is not an insta item.

So far, this camera has captured some great video, and even captured stuff around me (Accidental footage) that I had not seen happening, but was grateful that I could pull it into my videos with the overcapture feature.

At the time of writing the PC software for this camera is in Beta mode and as such has limited functionality. it will allow you to export the .Insta files in to Jpegs and conventional video formats so you can edit them on your normal editing software.
Raw files are also supported on the camera and do not need any converting to use on your editing software.

I have used Theta Cameras in the past, and this to me is a huge upgrade - For me, this camera has set a banchmark of what a 360 camera and app should be able to do.

The camera in my opinion has proberly been released a bit to early, and it is now a case of waiting for the software to catch up - There has been some updates already to the firmware but this is to be expected, Once the PC Version has been made fully functional and allows editing of the footage this will be a package that will be hard to beat for the price. (As it is now, it is still a good camera and App, I just prefer editing on a computer, and when they incorporate the functionality of the app to the Computer software this will be an hard to beat item)

Overall If your thinking of buying - Do it. The camera is good, and it will be worth waiting for the PC updates.
The only areas that are not brilliant with this camera are:
Battery Life - when linked to your phone, the battery life of the camera (and phone) quickly goes. But the positive to this is that the battery can be removed and a fresh one put in, So although annoying that the battery doesn't last that long being able to swap out batteries overcomes this.

Sound - The sound is just awful, especially in the slightest wind (it sounds like the camera is in a plastic bag.) Again no biggy, as anyone that wants a decent sound will use an external device to capture the audio they require.
Camera Files - All the files that are captured, are stored as "insta" files, which means to work with them on a computer, you need to convert them into either recognisable video files or Jpegs. (apart from RAW - RAW works fine)

PC Software - Limited functionality - Can only import and export files (Once the full version has been released and offers the functionality of the original insta360 Studio this will be a good investment)

(if you have read reports about the power button being too responsive and easily switched on by accident, ignore them - this has been addressed already in a firmware update and does not happen anymore -

As I have said, the camera for me has probably been released just a little bit too early, and some minor issues that come to light because of the number of people providing feedback are being dealt with each week - Which is good.
