Many avid photographers will definitely prefer this 35mm lens to the more conventional 50mm. Using a leading-edge design and state-of-the-art production technology, we've honed its performance to the point where it can do full justice to the expressive power of the very latest digital cameras. At low apertures, for example, it can perform like a wide-angle lens, while if it's opened up to F1.4, it will give the background a pleasing bokeh effect and make the subject pop like a mid-range telephoto lens. What makes this lens so desirable is the wide scope it provides for artistic expression.

Preston GB
Easily the highest resolution lens I have and I've a lot of glass. A little slow to focus but superb quality shots
The case could do with a bit more padding around the barrel of the lens

Crytal clear image.
Not the fastest of lenses. But in fairness to sigma they do a sport version of the same lens so i chose the lens most suited to me and speed was the sacrifice.

The images it produces are amazing and it's great in low light of course
I hate the Auto-focus!!!! It should be ready to go out of the box imo and isn't and even after using the USB dock and having it calibrated with a professional it's still not great. I guess I have a dodgy unit so will be sending it back.

Such a sharp lens even when used at f1.4. Nice focal length for slightly wider portrait work to get some more of the atmosphere in the shot. Alround great lens.
Only bad point I'd say is that it isn't weather sealed.
