The DJI Zenmuse Z30 allows users to collect information more efficiently that is crucial to their operations. The Z30 features an optical zoom of up to 30x and digital up to 6x, so that you can capture unparalleled image data from a greater range. This means that data collection can be achieved faster and eliminates the risk of harm to both personnel and equipment.
The Z30 has been designed to work with the DJI Matrice 300 RTK Drone* and works straight from the box.

The Zenmuse Z30 offers these key features;
- Zoom - The Z30 offers a 30x optical and 6x digital zoom for a total magnification up to 180x. This allows you to get a detailed look at structures such as phone towers or wind turbines to see if there is any damage to the structure, wires, modules and any components. This ability to monitor from a distance allows for a fast and efficient workflow as well as a decrease in risk of collision.
- Tap Zoom - The Tap Zoom function allows for the precise collection of visual data by simply tapping your finger on the area you wish to inspect. The Z30 will automatically adjust its focal length to give you an enlarged view, making the most minute of details visible in just seconds.
- Stabilisation - The Z30 features DJI’s leading gimbal technology, This is especially important when you are at high magnifications to eliminate any unwanted movement. The Z30 offers stabilisation within 0.01° and the same precision for controls.
What is the DJI Zenmuse H20 used for?
The Zenmuse Z30 is best used for the following applications;
Cell Tower Inspection - The Z30 allows you to inspect cell towers from a distance for added safety. You can Livestream your findings to engineers anywhere in the world so that you can communicate quickly and easily towards identifying any concerns.
The extended zoom range allows you to operate beyond the threat of the tower’ electromagnetic field giving you peace of mind when out in the field.
You can also use the DJI GO’s Intelligent Flight Modes like Point of Interest to easily set up your system to circle a cell tower at a constant radius while keeping it locked in the frame. Once set, focus on directing the camera and controlling the zoom level to capture image data or perform a real-time inspection.
Wind Turbine Inspection - Once again, the Z30’s extended zoom range enables users to carry out inspections at a safe distance. If you were using a regular wide-angle camera, you would have to get as close as one metre to make out the same amount of detail that you can achieve with the Z30. It is quite easy for a sudden gust of wind to interfere with the aircraft’s navigation, so being able to keep a distance is a huge benefit.
Firefighting - The Z30 is perfect for first responders such as firefighters. It allows the user to quickly get an overview of the scene, and to use the 30x zoom to get accurate and specific intelligence to plan accordingly. The wide-angle of the zoom allows you to get an overview of the scene and the TapZoom mode allows you to instantly zoom in on an area of interest. The 30x optical zoom allows you to pick out finer details quickly, thereby improving both speed of our data collection and the fidelity of that data.
