Why buy the Fujifilm X-A7 with XC 15-45mm Lens - Silver?

Meet the Fujifilm X-A7. The newest in the X Series line up. Following the Fujifilm X-A5, this mirrorless camera is perfect for stills and videos. Set to be a great asset to any Vlogger or Content Creator; this high-quality camera is easy to use yet extremely effective.

Featuring Fujifilm's legendary APS-C CMOS sensor, the camera is of compact and extremely lightweight construction. Weighing just 320grams. It has mind-blowingly responsive and accurate autofocus, and works beautifully in low lighting conditions, offering superb colour reproduction.

With 4K video and high-speed capture, it gives a professional-grade performance in a much simpler entry-level pro-consumer camera. An articulating display with a responsive touchscreen gives full control to anyone wishing to capture a Vlog or video diary.

Advanced APS-C CMOS Design

With a Brand New 24.2 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, the Fujifilm XA7 utilises a copper wiring design. This delivers superb image quality and incredibly powerful autofocus.

The New Sensor boasts an impressive 8.5x more phase-detection pixels than previous sensor models in the X-A camera range. This means the performance of Eye and Face detection autofocus has taken huge leaps. It now works superbly in low lighting and with challenging, fast-moving subjects.

Copper wiring introduces a huge reduction of digital noise. It gives approx. one-stop more refinement in image quality when shooting with high ISO levels than older models.

A more rapid data readout gives the camera an effortless framerate of 30fps in 4K video capture. This also reduces any rolling shutter issues found when shooting fast-paced objects.

Advanced 4K Video Performance

Producing 4K footage that uses data equivalent to 6K; the image sensor produces high res video quality with reduced noise. It will deliver 4K video at 30fps without crop.

You can shoot in Full/HD at up to 60p in full-screen 16:9. Capture directly for social media in a 1:1 ratio too for a quick, smooth transition to Instagram and the likes.

High-Speed HD capture allows you to shoot up to 4x speed. This means you can produce a stunning slow-motion video with ease.

User-friendly interface and construction

The X-A7’s body weighs an astonishing 320g. With your 15-45mm kit lens, this is still a mere 455g. This makes it a perfect camera for any traveler wanting to produce high-quality content.

A large 3.5in 16:9 LCD screen gives you a crystal clear view of your subject. Fujifilm has designed the display so that it is especially easy to view on a bright day.

A ‘Smart Menu’ allows users to quickly change key settings in moments. Handy quick functions include brightness, background blur, aspect ratio, and Film Simulations. All of which have a real-time preview so you can see the future result.

The touchscreen is perfectly sensitive and very responsive allowing smooth operation. Its vari-angle design means you can shoot in challenging angles, as well as a hop in front of the camera for Vlogs and self-portraits.

X-A7 Battery life is excellent. Fujifilm advises you can capture up to 440 images on a full charge.

Useful creative shooting modes

Produce HDR, bright and vivid images with ease. One-touch features allow you to compose your image smoothly. Clever modes such as ‘Light Trail’ allow you to shoot long exposure light trail photography in a couple of clicks.

Very compact, with the biggest fully articulated FHD screen found on any DSLR or mirrorless camera to date.
Packed with both stills and video features far in advance of any smart phone user's wish-list.
Recommendable, overall, for any one seriously thinking about moving from smart phone photography to that offered by this feature-packed, entry-level system camera.
I wish that the camera's build felt more durable and was also weather-proof.
Also, the touch screen sometimes is a little less responsive and the UI doesn't fully extend to the camera's menu settings.
The kit lens could also have been one with a generous 50 to 60mm zoom.
