What does the Hoya NX-10 UV Filter do?
This filter serves two purposes; absorbing UV rays and forming physical protection for that expensive glass on the front of your lens. A UV filter can stop photos from appearing hazy by absorbing UV rays. Therefore, if you are shooting outside, and especially in bright sunlight, this filter can greatly improve your results and remove any blue casting.
By leaving the filter on your lens, you are protecting it against dust, moisture, and scratches and with 98% light transmission, there is no need to worry about it hindering metering.
What does NX-10 mean?
These filters have 10 layers of anti-reflective and water repellent coatings, reducing ghosting and flare.
Can I use these filters with wide-angle lenses?
Yes! Due to the slim frame design, these filters avoid vignetting with wide-angle lenses so just choose the correct size and get shooting.
