What are the benefits of the Metz M360 Flashgun?
As the compact mirrorless camera gets smaller, so do the accessories that go along with it. That is why Metz have released the M360. An entry-level flashgun that can be mounted on any camera. It is intuitive to use and a must-have accessory for any photographer who requires speed and ease of use when photographing events and outdoors.
After the success of the mecablitz M400, Metz has expanded the M-series with the mecablitz M360. Offering high performance at a low price.
Weighing just 190g, the mecablitz M360 is lightweight, easy to use and it won’t take up valuable space in your camera bag. Because of its compact size, it can easily be stored with the rest of your camera accessories.
The flash is ready to use straight away and only has two buttons that are needed to control it. The flash is turned on and off by the power button, and the second button allows you to cycle through the various operating states of the M360. These include Flash ready, Exposure OK, Standby etc. It also triggers a test flash.
Correct illumination of the subject is calculated via TTL. The maximum guide number of 36 at ISO 100 will administer enough power for almost all lighting situations.
Though the mecablitz M360’ compact form is ideal for mirrorless compact cameras, its intuitive operating system will make this a must have for any DSLR user.
What else can the Metz M360 Flashgun do?
In addition to the above, the Metz M360 offers a host of other features that will help any photographer with various lighting situations. The head has a motorized zoom to aid in focussing your flash between 24 - 105 mm focal lengths. The head is capable of fully articulating between -7/ +90 degrees and vertical tilt and 270 degrees horizontal swivel.
The flashgun comes equipped with a swivelling reflector with extendable reflector card. The integrated wide-angle diffuser (14 mm) enable flashes on the ceiling, eye-reflexes in flash portraits and the illumination of groups of people. You can also use the plug-in diffuser supplied as a soft focus by the photographer.
Provided that the camera supports this feature, the mecablitz M360 can synchronise to the first or second shutter curtain. It is also possible to install firmware updates via a micro USB socket.
The Metz M360 comes in five different fittings. The fittings available are for Canon (eos), Fujifilm, Nikon, Sony and there is also a fit for Olympus/Panasonic (Lumix)/Leica.
