Three exciting new lenses for the LUMIX S System have come with the launch of the LUMIX S1 and S1R Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras from Panasonic. Designed around the L-Mount from Leica, Panasonic has concentrated its attention on producing professional standard lenses across the S series and future additions to come.
Each lens has been designed for Weather Resistance, ease of use with features such as quick focus mode switching and diversity between photo and video work.
The lenses have all been designed to have robust dust and splash resistance. They are also tested to function in temperatures as low as -10°C - keeping in line with their parterning cameras the S1 and S1R.
Motors built with revolutionary design propel the focusing element of the lenses - giving the needed support to match the 480fps performance of the S-System cameras.
With a focus clutch mechanism, the lenses give you optimum standards of control when instantly switching between manual and AF modes.
Built for video as well as stills, Panasonic has built the lenses to overcome focus breathing while capturing movies.

Reaching wide-angles through to medium-telephoto focal lengths, the lens holds up superbly, giving you fantastic levels of sharpness across the full range making it perfect for producing broad, detailed landscape shots to stunning portrait photographs.
The lens also holds its own in Macro imaging, giving you 0.5x magnification its closest focus distance is a mere 0.3m.
The lens has an O.I.S (Optical Image Stabiliser) which when paired with the Body Image Stabilisation on the S1 and S1R, gives you the highly anticipated first of it's kind to full-frame mirrorless; 5-Axis, Dual IS - which gives you up to a brilliant 6 stops in compensation.
Constructed of 16 elements across 13 groups with 2 aspherical lenses and 2 extra-low dispersion elements - the lens will combat chromatic aberrations and give wonderful amounts of resolution in your work.
