High-Quality Optical Design
The lens features high-quality optics that produce images that are sharp across the picture. It is constructed out of 10 elements in 9 groups including a Low Dispersion (SD) glass element. The 9 diaphragm blades produce creamy and natural front and back bokeh. Combine this with the fast f1.4 aperture and this lens has an excellent advantage for shooting in low light. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 60cm which opens up the potential for interesting compositions and is ideal for portraiture and street photography.
Responsive AutoFocus System
The Tokina ATX-M 56mm F1.4 Fujifilm X Mount Lens has a responsive autofocus system that communicates fully with the camera body. For those cameras that feature 5-axis in-built image stabilisation (IBIS), the lens is also able to support this. The autofocus is quiet, fast and accurate thanks to its STM stepping motor making it good for capturing faster moving subjects.
Compact Build
With a compact and lightweight build, this lens fits perfectly onto any Fujifilm APS-C X mount camera without affecting the overall balance or looking out of place. The construction quality is excellent owing to its metal mounts and barrel ensuring the longevity of the lens and protecting against accidental damage. The aperture ring is clickless for smooth manual control. Whilst in video mode the clickless aperture can be adjusted for manual control between f1.4 to f16.
