This new Tokina Firin is an autofocus upgrade of the existing Firin 20mm F2 MF. You can now use autofocus on this compact super wide angle lens specifically created for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras.
The Firin's compact construction and weight of only 464g make it an excellent choice for Sony shooters requiring a fast wide-angle that's easy to carry.
Two aspherical elements and three lenses crafted from super-low dispersion glass reduce chromatic aberration resulting in edge-to-edge clarity and bold contrast at the widest apertures.

The added benefit of autofocus and improved compatibility with the camera opens up options for the photographer looking to make use of Sony's vast functionality. Tokina's latest lens features a ring-shaped ultrasonic AF motor that works in tandem with Sony's Fast Hybrid AF System assuring quick yet quiet autofocus. While AF is now available fine-tuned manual focus adjustment remains available.
New electric contacts on the lens allow the lens chip to share valuable data with the camera used for optical corrections to shading, distortion and chromatic aberration.
Transmitting focal length data to the camera body aids in assisting the camera's in-body image stabilisation system to compensate for movement.
