BLACKMAGIC ATEM Microphone Converter
Enhance your audio production and expand the MADI input on your ATEM switchers such as Blackmagic’s ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO or Blackmagic’s ATEM HD8 system. High-end Design
The Blackmagic ATEM Microphone Converter has a familiar converter-based design with space for analogue electronics required for high-quality analogue to digital audio conversion. Combined XLR/TRS input sockets enable both XLR or Jack cables to be connected. The ATEM Microphone Converter also includes a MADI output with the converted audio and a MADI input. This allows for multiple Converters to be daisy-chained together, providing more channels of audio which can be embedded into a single MADI connection.
12V DC Power Connection
The Blackmagic ATEM Microphone Converter has been designed with a 12V DC power connection along with USB and Ethernet connections. These allow for both remote admin and software updates along with letting you control mic/line audio input levels and turn on phantom power.
MADI Multi-Channel audio
MADI output from the ATEM Converter embeds the 4 analogue inputs as MADI channels 1, 2, 3 and 4. This converter also includes a MADI input, which can be used to loop multiple converts on a single MADI link.
Analogue to Digital Conversion
Each input implements an analogue to digital conversion using 8 high dynamic range audio ADCs, allowing them to function collectively as one ultra-high dynamic range audio ADC. Analogue input channels each have an ultra-low noise fixed gain preamplifier, to assist in eliminating preamp gain step clicks or “zipper noise”.
Extremely Low -129DBV Noise Floor
Input is converted directly using its ultra-high dynamic range convection. Enabling you to pass the RAW audio directly to the switcher with the ATEM Television Studio HD8, any gain can then be applied as required for the correct audio level. This provides you with an extremely low fixed noise floor of -129dBV regardless of the digital gain applied.
Digital Preamplifier
Microphone levels can be adjusted by a digital preamplifier gain stage, allowing for compensation of the specific brand of microphones used. The preamplifier is processed in the full internal 32-bit RAW audio bit depth, resulting in an extremely clean and noise-free gain stage.
Precise Matching Between Input Audio Channels
The ATEM Microphone Converter has extremely precise matching between input audio channels, with each analogue audio input having very similar specifications and tolerances, producing a more statistically uniform input. This consistency enables you to enjoy a similar performance no matter what input you connect the microphone to.
HDMI Monitoring
Connect a simple TV or computer monitor for a full status display. This display includes 4 scrolling waveforms over 60 seconds and audio meters, showing the level at the input connector. Each channel also includes a custom label which can be set via the software utility. Providing you with the ability to carefully monitor each of the input channels.
