The radio-frequency control provides reliable operation for up to 15 Speedlight flashes without needing a direct line of sight. Additional features are available when partnered with the Speedlite EL-1 and later Speedlites.

2.4GHz radio frequency triggering ensures reliable off-camera flash control, even with obstructions.
Multiple flash and camera control
Fire multiple flashes or cameras at once for multi-flash set-ups or synchronised shooting. Flash exposure can be easily controlled via E-TTL II flash metering, so you can choose the appropriate brightness for your environment.
Wireless second curtain sync
The ST-E3-RT Version 2 supports wireless second curtain sync for the EL-1 and later Speedlites, which can be helpful in shooting moving subjects as it allows the flash to fire at the end of the exposure before the shutter is closed. Furthermore, a flash output of 1/8192 power is supported for nuanced lighting as well as flash exposure (FE) memory, to lock in the correct FE setting for any scene or studio shot you need.
Weatherproof and user friendly
Full weather sealing protects from dust and moisture to a professional degree. The ST-E3-RT Version 2 weighs only 110g, is powered by two AA/LR6 batteries, and has a back-lit LCD screen which has been designed to be easy to read.
