Canon EVF-DC1 Viewfinder

Canon EVF-DC1 Viewfinder, designed for Canon G1 X Mark II digital camera, offers a 2.36MP resolution LCD and displays all shooting information found on the camera's LCD screen. Mounted easily on the camera's accessory shoe, the electronic viewfinder features a high eyepoint, a diopre adjustment range of -3.0 to +1.0, and 90° upward tilt capability, helping to enable steady shooting even on an angle. The camera can be directed to switch automatically between the LCD and the viewfinder with an eyepiece sensor or can be set manually with a dedicated button. Brightness can be set independently from the Canon G1X II's monitor.

Easy to see through in bright light, unlike using back screen, which in bright light/sun ..can become difficult to see.
Also easy to see if your picture to be taken, is in focus.
Also automatically activates when viewed through ... from eyepiece sleep mode.
A good add for the Canon EOS M3.
Uses the camera hotshoe, which stops the use of external flash attached to the camera.
