Clearer and brighter in daylight than my old 8x21 glasses, they fit into my coat pocket.portability is important .
The eye cups seem a bit flimsy. Time will tell.

Small (pocket sized), nice and bright, solid in the hand and seem pretty robust thus far. Also like the front caps which flip down on rubber hinges and then flip back up again easily when you put them away - very easy.

Vision quality excellent, good to hold.
The strap is a disaster. It is too chunky by far. Quite difficult to thread through the binoculars, and too wide and bulky to fit in the case, and the strap outside the case then makes it too bulky to fit in a pocket or handbag.
The handbook is for a different (but similar) pair of binoculars.

I like sharp optics in my photographic work using Canon L series and some non marque but very good lenses.
I compared the Hawkes to my £500+ binoculars that I use for waders etc and migratory birds that we see a lot of where I live. In normal daylight the Hawkes are as good as the costlier pair. Both have the same close focus ability and just doing a visual comparison I was pleasantly surprised at how good the Hawkes were.
Very sharp, bright and contrasty no colour fringing seen. I couldn't detect any pincushion or barrel distortion although realistically it probably will exist to some degree in optics but certainly not noticeable to my eye. Nice quality build, good eye relief and the dioptre adjustment works well.
I like them a lot especially as they are so low cost.
I bought them for my better half so I have to get another pair.
