Kowa BD 8x25 DCF Binoculars

Extremely portable, these binoculars are suitable for numerous applications, including sporting events, hiking, travelling, and bird watching.

Multi-coated technology

All lenses and prisms are fully multicoated, ensuring a clear visual range and sharp images. This new coating technology maximises the reflectivity of the prism and reduces the loss of light, thereby achieving brighter and sharper images. The prism is also phase-coated to ensure sharp images and outstanding contrast.

Ideal portable binoculars

The 25mm objective lenses are ideal for the observation of plants, insects, and other objects within close range. The binoculars feature a comfortable rubber coating and are waterproof,  filled with dry nitrogen gas for a fog-free outlook.

Good, solid build, feels a real quality optic.
Excellent eye relief, I have no problems using them with glasses. The colours are true, with no colour casting, and chromatic aberrations are virtually non-existent. Focussing is very fast and takes a bit of getting used to, but the binoculars seem to have a good depth of field, so I find exact focussing is unnecessary. Overall an excellent pair of binoculars. Also these are made in Japan, with all the quality you would expect. If you are looking for a top notch pocket binocular, these should be at the top of the list.
Haven't found any negatives with these, very, very pleased with them.

Used them for horse racing mainly and ideal. You're not too close to the action and field of view is excellent. They are ideally sized: not too big nor too small; not too heavy not too light. I'm only scoring 9 as I expect there are even better bins but I expect at a much heftier price. Didn't buy a big brand as don't like to attract attention.

I found these binoculars easy to use and small enough to pop in my pocket on dog walks. I would highly recommend them.
