This is a Micro Four Thirds super telephoto lens for those long shots off in the distance, which you can magically bring nearer at a turn of the wrist. Extremely compact and lightweight it offers an equivalent range of 150-600mm on a 35mm film camera. Now you can capture that sense of being close to your subject without having to get so near. This high-power lens has two additional benefits. It comes with a unique screw drive mechanism, which is especially quiet for shooting films and has a very fast auto-focus function (MSC) for taking rapid-fire still shots.

Great lens for the price, it is so small that you try and treat it as a normal handheld lens. Yes it is possible to shoot handheld, but best with tripod or monopod..

One of the best 'bangs for the buck' lenses I own.
Lightweight being plastic so fits into a kitbag without noticing the weight.
Image quality is excellent.
Plastic mount smacks of cost cutting.
Zoom is slightly stiff (perhaps to prevent creep) so it is impossible to zoom in small increments without it being jerky.
No supplied lens hood but a cheap JJC one does the job perfectly.

Very good quality photos for a reasonable price. Light weight with good reach. Complaints about being soft at 300mm are usually down to operator error and not the lens quality. Mine is surprisingly sharp at full zoom like many reports and reviews I have seen.
Not really a bad point, but you do need to practice long lens techniques and use in camera stabilisation as this lens has none. Also essential to use electronic shutter on camera to avoid any blur or soft images.
