Simple, Broadcast-Quality Switching
By adding this compact accessory to your filmmaking setup you are putting the power of broadcast-quality switching in your hands. With the option for touchscreen and button controls, you can choose what is onscreen at any one time during a broadcast.
Illuminated buttons for input, and coloured LED lighting for Programme and Preview statuses allow easy operation in low-light environments. Work with professional settings such as 10bit/4:2:2 inputs and codecs such as Apple ProRes and Avid DNx.
Connect to any Full HD Video Source
The Atomos AtomX Cast can connect to a wide range of products including Mirrorless, DSLR and Video cameras, computers and consoles. Live stream or stream pre-recorded content to monitors and TV screens via the full HDMI output with no synchronisation issues owing to the ability to mix and match frame rates up to 60p and interlace progressive HD sources automatically.
Presentation Perfection
The Atomos AtomX Cast presents a unique opportunity to vastly improve the quality of your online presentations. Dock the Ninja V/V+ to your AtomX Cast and connect to your computer via USB-C for a high-quality webcam. With the AtomX Cast in play, presentations have the potential to include up to 4 camera inputs as well as include brand logo overlays.
This Plug and Play setup works immediately with applications such as Zoom, Teams and Skype with no driver installation required. The potential to deliver presentations to a worldwide audience, output a broadcast-quality video signal to a local display or video wall, and record high-quality edit-ready video codecs has never been brighter.
Optimise with the Integrated Monitor
Designed to work best with either the Atomos Ninja V or Ninja V+, the AtomX Cast allows you to see all incoming signals as well as the outgoing programme. Switch to multiview to see all four inputs at once, complete with audio level monitoring.
There’s no need to connect an external monitor, simply mount the Cast to your camera and utilise the 5” touchscreen of the Ninja V/V+. From here you can set and monitor tools such as exposure, focus and image analysis.
Enhance your Brand
Add a little extra to your broadcasts by overlaying logos, masthead graphics and lower third titles. An easy but often overlooked touch, these extra details level up your broadcasting look from amateur to professional.
Picture in Picture
As well as viewing four inputs at once, the AtomX Cast can also display two inputs at the same time during the broadcast. Any of the four HDMI inputs can be used for a Picture in Picture effect, displaying two channels on the screen together. Control the size and location of the overlaid image for this useful effect.
Works for Productions of Any Size
Housing the 5” Ninja V/V+ Monitor, the AtomX Cast is small, configurable and adaptable. It integrates seamlessly into any production size. As a solo filmmaker, the Cast can be easily mounted to a handheld mirrorless camera. As part of a larger production company, the Cast can be used as a secondary/duplicate output to preview footage for the crew to monitor, or to connect to a large multiview display.
Advanced Workflow Ready
Connected to the Ninja V, the AtomX Cast is a fully functional stand-alone switcher. Add a computer to the setup for a more advanced video workflow. In this mode, the Cast and Ninja V/V+ does the heavy lifting, taking the load off your computer, and efficiently reducing the risk of software crashes. This works by setting the AtomX Cast as a media source in OBS, X-Split and VMix to make use of the software application’s additional graphics and scene configuration while using the Cast for video input switching.
