ATOMOS Shinobi

The Atomos Shinobi monitor is guaranteed to improve your filmmaking workflow. It is the first stand-alone small monitor from Atamos and the 5” HDR screen with 1000Nit brightness packs a punch. Its lightweight design (less than 200g) sits comfortably on top of any camera for all-day recording. Featuring advanced filmmaking tools such as the new Multi-Tool Analysis View, the Shinobi simplifies and improved video creation. It really is a cinematographers dream.

Powerful 5” Monitor

Atomos have packed a 10-bit HDR or SDR display into a small 5” monitor. Even in bright daylight, the screen can still be seen thanks to the 1000Nit high-brightness display. The screen features a special AR (Anti-Reflective) coating and Anti-Fingerprint technology that provides a clear view with no distractions. Weighing just 196g (7oz), the Shinobi is one of the lightest 4K monitors on the market. Simply mount the monitor onto any HDMI camera setup without worrying about unbalanced weight distribution.

The Best of Atomos 10

The Shinobi takes inspiration from all the best features of the AtomOS10 platform and is packed with an extensive suite of scopes and simple one-touch operations to make your life easier. Function improvements include monitoring tools for focus, plus the following framing and exposure tools: Focus Peaking, 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1 Zoom, Zebra, False Colour, Frame Guides, SMPTE Sage Area, Waveform, RGB Parade, Vectorscope, a new multi-view ‘Analysis’ view and a flexible 3D and 1D LUT, Profile and Preset support (.cube files via SD card) and options for anamorphic desqueeze monitoring.

Atomos ‘Analysis’ Mode

Make full use of the monitor with the new option to display waveform, histogram and vectorscopes simultaneously whilst monitoring the main image. View the image with all the information or switch between different modes with a single touch to ensure complete control of your image.

HDR in the field

View your work in stunning 10+ stops of dynamic range with real-time footage from Log/PG/HGL signals. This unique monitor simplifies the complexities of shooting Log and HDR by displaying the image directly in front of you as it happens. Helping you replicate post-production workflows at the moment it matters most – out in the field.

Realtime LUTs Preview

Apply and compare looks for post-production in SDR or HDR using your favourite LUTs from your camera. This gives you a much more accurate understanding of the final image look so that you can make real-time changes to lighting while still on set. With the Shinobi you can upload up to eight custom LUTs via the SD Card Slot and switch between them with the touch of a button.

Calibrated For Your Eyes Only

The Shinobi has the option to be calibrated either using X-Rite’s i1DisplayPro, or Rec.709. These industry-standard calibrations ensure accurate monitoring for reliable results.

Impressive Battery Life

The Shinobi draws very little power when in standby or monitoring modes. This means that you can use the monitor all day on a single battery, even on a long shoot.

Designed For Your Set-Up

The Shinobi is designed to fit your set-up. It feeds to the camera via an HDMI cable (not included) and has 1/4"-20 screw mounts on the top and bottom for ease of cage and adaptor rigging. The battery sits in the centre of the monitor for improved balance and manoeuvrability.
