Azden PRO-XR 2.4 GHz Wireless Microphone System
The Azden PRO-XR is a new kind of 2.4 GHz digital wireless microphone. It uses several new technologies in order to avoid the line-of-sight dependency and congestion problems that are often an issue for traditional 2.4 GHz wireless products. Unlike other wireless microphone systems, the PRO-XR is extremely reliable.
Frequency Spectrum Auto-Scan
As soon as the PRO-XR is turned on it begins to scan for 2.4 GHz frequencies. It is this rapid scanning that constantly monitors the 2.4 GHz range and will automatically change its transmission frequency should it detect a possible interference. This smart technology provides seamless transitions that are undetectable in the audio recording.
Signal Redundancy Technology
In order to further fortify the system’s resistance to interference, the PRO-XR utilises Azden’s Signal Redundancy Technology. The transmitter will send two copies of the signal to the receiver at all times, each on a different frequency. This provides an alternative signal for the system to automatically switch to should an interference be predicted.
Two External Antenna Choices
The PRO-XR comes with the choice of two different external antenna designs for the transmitter. The first is a flexible antenna for comfortable and inconspicuous wearing. The second is a high-gain antenna that is the choice for increased performance over long distances and line-of-sight obstruction.
Adjustable Transmission Power
Adaptable to challenging environments, the PRO-XR has an adjustable transmission power option. For normal use, the power will automatically be set to 20mW which is optimal for battery life and top performance.
For more challenging environments opt for an increased output power of 50-100mW which will improve the performance over longer distances, over-crowded WiFi environments, or line-of-sight obstructions. For the most challenging environments combine the 100mW output with the use of the included high-gain transmitter antenna for an extended range of up to 300 feet.
Up to 20 Hours Run Time
Included with the PRO-XR are built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Run for up to 20 hours on the receiver and 14 hours on the transmitter for all-day shooting. To recharge at the end of the day, the system comes with a dual-USB charging cable and an AC adapter.
Lavalier Microphone Included
Capture clear and resonating audio with the professional-grade, omnidirectional lavalier microphone. Operating the full frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, the microphone records your subject’s voice with crisp distinction.
Line-In Aux Input
For additional flexibility, a 3.5mm auxiliary input into the transmitter means that audio mixers, digital recorders and other line-level sources can be connected.
