Azden SMX-10 Directional Stereo Microphone
The Azden SMX-10 Directional Stereo Microphone is designed to improve the audio quality of videos made on interchangeable lens cameras. The microphone’s wide frequency response picks up details that the camera’s in-built microphone would otherwise miss.
Natural Audio Quality
Using the Azden SMX-10 will improve the audio for any filmmaking project. The directional stereo microphone features two cardioid microphones that are angled apart by 90º for a natural-sounding stereo. The microphone will automatically pick up sounds from the focus of your project directly in front of the camera, while the low-cut frequency filter removes unwanted background noise.
Wide Frequency Response
The SMX-10 has a wide frequency response of 100-20,000 Hz that vastly improves the audio of your video compared to the camera’s built-in microphone.
Undisturbed Audio Recording
Included with the SMX-10 are the SMH-X shock mount holder and a foam windscreen. The shock mount is excellent for facilitating on-camera mounting and isolates the microphone from handling and motor noise. Whilst the foam windscreen reduces wind noise during outdoor recording.
Power
The Azden SMX-10 can be powered two ways, either via the plug-in power cable that is supplied with the microphone or with an AAA battery. The plug-in power cable is a 3.5mm jack that is compatible with almost any camera or smartphone. It offers unlimited recording time. The AAA battery (not included) offers up to 1000 hours of recording time on just one battery.
