Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is the perfect choice for professional filmmakers and documentary makers. It features a 6K, 6048 x 4032, full frame high-resolution HDR sensor, a very flexible L-Mount for lenses, an adjustable tilt 5” touchscreen LCD, viewfinder mount, mini XLR audio inputs and an NP-F570 style battery.
This camera includes an activation key for the full version of DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Get the “Hollywood Look”
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K features everything you need to produce high-quality video for feature films, television programming and documentaries, as well as for social media such as YouTube. The camera boasts a 6K (6048 x 4032) full-frame sensor, which is almost 3 times larger than a Super 35 sensor along with an L lens mount allowing you to use a wide range of lenses. Shooting in low-light situations is made easier thanks to the 13 stops of dynamic range combined with a dual native ISO range of 400 to 25,600. The camera is capable of shooting up to 36fps in full resolution and up to 120fps when it is windowed and can take still images up to 24.6MPs.
The camera also features an adjustable tilt 5” touchscreen LCD with 1500 nits of brightness, as well as a mini XLR audio input so that you can record with a professional microphone for the best audio possible.
You can even shoot film vertically, giving you the ability to make high-quality content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and more.
Next Generation L-Mount
Cinema Camera 6K comes equipped with an L-Mount, making it compatible with the latest full-frame lenses from manufacturers such as Leica, Panasonic and Sigma.
Multifunctional Handgrip
The Cinema Camera 6K has been constructed from lightweight carbon fibre polycarbonate composite, and you have complete control thanks to its multifunctional handgrip and easy-access controls on the top and rear of the camera. This ergonomic handgrip hosts controls such as ISO, White Balance (WB), shutter speed and a scroll wheel for quick iris adjustments as well as recording and stills buttons. The rear panel gives you access to buttons that you can assign functions like high frame rate, focus zoom, false colour and more. You can also access all of the settings quickly and easily via the large LCD touchscreen.
Multiple data recording
The Cinema Camera 6K allows you to use both CFast and SD UHS-II cards and also features a USB-C expansion port, allowing you to record directly to an external hard drive at 4K or 6K when using Blackmagic RAW. This high-speed USB-C expansion port offers transfer speeds of up to 5 GB/s, giving you the option to record to large storage devices so that you can shoot at 6K, 12-bit Blackmagic RAW for longer periods without having to worry about running out of storage space. It also means that you can plug the external disk directly into your computer and start editing/colour correcting from the same disk so that you don’t have to worry about transferring files.
All the Connections You Need
The Cinema Camera 6K comes with all the connections you need for audio, monitoring and power. You can easily monitor your footage with support for HDR and clean 10-bit output thanks to the full-size HDMI connector. For audio connections, the camera features 2 mini XLR connections with 48-volt phantom power so that you can connect a professional microphone for the best audio possible as well as being able to use the 4 built-in mics. These offer an extremely low noise floor and are shock and wind-resistant.
Other connections include a 3.5mm input that can be used for another microphone as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a built-in speaker for playback.
Optional EVF Available
The Cinema Camera 6K is compatible with an EVF* so shooting outdoors or in handheld situations is super easy and efficient. When using the EVF, you get a high-quality 1280 x 960 OLED display with brilliantly bright colours and also features a built-in proximity sensor, a 4-element glass diopter for superb accuracy, and focus adjustment from -4 to +4. The EVF allows you to view critical data and status information such as frame guides and it also has a built-in digital focus chart.

USB-C for External Discs and Ethernet Control
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K features an innovative and high-speed USB-C Expansion Port that operates at up to 5 Gb/s. USB-C is available on most new computers and even provides power. That means you can connect external accessories such as flash drives and high-capacity SSDs for significantly longer recording times. Best of all, when shooting is complete you can simply move the external disk to your computer and start editing and colour correction from the same disk straight away, eliminating file copying. You can also add a USB-C to Ethernet adapter to control your camera over a network via secure and easy-to-use REST APIs. You can even copy files off the camera via the network.
Generation 5 Colour Science
The Cinema Camera 6K produces stunning image quality, accurate skin tones and faithful colour reproduction. This is thanks to the same generation, 5-colour science that is featured in the URSA Mini Pro 12K. You get a new dynamic 12-bit gamma curve designed to capture more colour data in the highlights and shadows, for better-looking images.
Custom 3D LUTS
The camera preserves dynamic range by shooting in a logarithmic colour space. This is fantastic for post-production but not so good when you want to monitor the footage live. This can be resolved quite simply by using 3D LUTs. These can be applied to the monitor to give you an idea of how the footage will look after processing. You can also record them in the Blackmagic RAW file so that you can use them in post-production.
The Cinema Camera 6K features built-in LUTs such as Extended Video, Film to Video, Film to REC.2020 and works with industry-standard 17 and 33-point 3D LUT files.
Stay In Perfect Sync
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K comes equipped with a built-in timecode generator allowing you to shoot with multiple cameras and keep them perfectly synced. This is achieved by plugging in an external timecode generator into the 3.5mm audio jack. The camera will then automatically detect the timecode and lock the internal generator. You can then stop and start each camera and they will all have the exact same timecode.
Davinci Resolve Studio* will automatically find and sync the shots from all of the cameras so that you don’t need to spend hours doing it manually.

24.6MP Stills Shooting
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is also capable of shooting 24.6-megapixel images as well as 6K video. The files are saved as Blackmagic RAW so that you get a lot of detail for post-production.
Wireless Control
You can control the camera when it is mounted on a boom pole, or other hard-to-reach locations via Bluetooth. Simply download the Blackmagic Camera Control app onto your Apple or Android device so that you can control your camera from a distance.
Powerful NP-F570 battery
The Cinema Camera 6K uses the NP-F570 battery which can be charged while using the camera so that you don’t have to worry about losing power during a shoot.
Davinci Resolve Studio Included
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K comes with an activation code for a full version of Davinci Resolve Studio. This is a professional video editing software that is used by many in Hollywood to edit high-end feature films, television shows, commercials and more.

Can the Cinema Camera 6K take still images?
The Cinema Camera 6K can take high-res still images of up to 24.6MP and are saved as fully uncompressed DNG frames for maximum image quality.
What resolutions and frame rates can I shoot at?
You can shoot stills at 24.6 megapixels and will shoot up to36 fps at 6048 x 4032 3:2 or 60 fps at 6048 x 2520 2.4:1 and 60 fps at 4096 x 2160 4K DCI. For higher frame rates you can window the sensor and shoot up to 100 fps at 2112 x 1184 Super 16. You can even work in true anamorphic 6:5 at much higher resolutions than other cameras using anamorphic lenses in 4.8K 24 fps at 4838 x 4032. You can even shoot 120 fps in 1080HD. With Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K, you’ll always be able to shoot the right resolution for the job.
What File Formats does the Cinema Camera 6K Use?
The Cinema Camera 6K records in Blackmagic RAW to preserve control of detail, exposure and colour during post production. It also records HD H.264 proxies in real time making it easy to share media around the world in minutes. Blackmagic RAW is highly optimised, multi‑threaded, works across multiple CPU cores and is also GPU accelerated to work with Apple Metal, CUDA and OpenCL. This means your images always maintain unprecedented resolution and quality for colour, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilisation and tracking in HD, 4K or 6K. Media files work on all operating systems plus you can format media cards and disks in HFS+ for Mac and ExFAT for Windows.
