Fantastic camera for its size. Pop-up viewfinder is superb. Huge range of options from fully auto to total manual control.
Could do with a longer zoom, but not at the cost of a larger size.

Excellent PQ with low ISO (800 or less), as light falls and the use of higher ISO becomes rather grainy and not sharp

View finder useful

All round good camera. Good size and performance, better than any phone camera for creative shots

Stabilisation good

Good solid build quality

Extra zoom over the G7X is good
Video autofocus is not great, looses face easily, even when static person right in front of camera. When focusing it can hunt and be slow, especially on moving subjects. Not a massive issue for me as I use mainly for stills. Still using old focusing technology, Canon does have phase detection autofocusing.

Burst shots, can take 10 secs to unbuffer and be able to take shots again.

4K video, gets really hot!

Lens built in cover when closed, rattles.

No mic input, but not a major issue for me, main take stills.
