Travellers who want to save space can replace both their binocular and their spotting scope with this one optic. But the scope is also tripod adaptable, so you can secure it to a stable platform for comfortable long-duration or long-distance viewing.
Hummingbird provides plenty of eye relief for use with or without eyeglasses. For use, while wearing eyeglasses, leave the twist-up eyecup in the lowered position. For use, while not wearing eyeglasses, twist the twist-up eyecup into the extended position.
Celestron Hummingbird Fast Action Head Tripod
The Celestron Hummingbird tripod is an excellent choice for those seeking a lightweight, stable platform for their spotting scope, binocular or camera. With four leg sections, three leg angles and an extendable centre column, you can set the right configuration of your tripod, suitable for any environment.
Use the panning handle and tension knob to scan across the horizon or tilt in smooth motions. The Hummingbird is perfect for any outdoor excursion thanks to being a stable yet lightweight versatile and easy-to-use tripod.
Quick-Release Mounting Plate
Attach a wide range of optical and photographic equipment to your Hummingbird tripod in seconds with the quick-release mounting plate. This broad, square platform with protective padding is ideal for attaching binocular adapters, spotting scope mounting feet, camera gear, and more. The mounting plate can adjust forward or backwards depending on your preference and to find the perfect weight balance point.
To up your viewing game, the platform also tilts up to 90° with a lock knob to secure it in place at any angle. For peace of mind, the quick-release plate has a safety mechanism that prevents it from sliding completely out of the pan head without pushing the release button.
Telescoping Center Column
The centre column of the Hummingbird tripod can be extended to raise the tripod head when additional height is needed. To adjust the centre column, twist the lock-knob and move the centre column to the desired height. The maximum height when the tripod is fully extended is just under 69”.
At the bottom of the centre column, there is a 1/4 - 20” mounting stud to attach a camera to achieve a unique angle when viewing or imaging.
Adjustable Tripod Leg Angles
Each leg of the Hummingbird tripod can be set at two different fixed angles as well as a fully extended position. Each leg has a leg angle adjustment latch, which is located at the top of the tripod leg, which allows you to lay the leg flat on a surface. There is a bubble leveller to ensure the tripod is level at any level and extension.

Is the eyepiece interchangeable?
Yes, the eyepiece is interchangeable and can be replaced with 1.25” eyepieces via the locking ring where the zoom eyepiece meets the scope's body.
