Celestron T-Ring for Nikon Camera

Turn your telescope or spotting scope into a large telephoto lens with the Celestron T-Ring adapter, and allow an SLR or DSLR camera to photograph celestial objects like the Moon.

Easy installation

The Celestron T-Ring is easy to install, simply remove the lens from your camera and attach the T-Ring in its place as if mounting a lens. The type of photography you wish to do will determine which adapter will be best suited to your needs.

Photograph the stars

Digiscoping works with short exposure image of terrestrial objects and celestial objects like the Moon. Depending on which scope or telescope you are using you will require a different T-Adapter to mount the T-Ring onto the scope:

For use with a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with standard rear cell threads, you will need a simple #93633-A Celestron T-Adapter in combination with the T-Ring.

If you have a refractor or spotting scope, the #93625 Universal T-Adapter with its 1.25” barrel insert will work best.

FAQs

What is a T-Ring used for?

A T-Ring is one of the first accessories to buy if you want to take photos through a telescope or spotting scope. If you have a Nikon DSLR camera body, then the Celestron T-Ring for Nikon Camera is for you.

Can this T-Ring be used with a Mirrorless Nikon?

This T-Ring cannot mount directly onto a Mirrorless Nikon camera.

I want to take highly magnified celestial images?

If you require extra magnification then a Tele-Extender will allow you to insert an eyepiece inside the barrel before attaching it to a telescope. Tele-Extenders are most often used for high-power images of planets.

Why do I need a T-Adapter too?

The T-Ring is the item that allows a camera to be mounted to a scope, the T-Adapter is the mechanism that attaches to the telescope itself. The T-Ring is specific to the camera make, the T-Adapter is specific to the scope or telescope. Together they allow the camera to properly mount onto a telescope and take images.

What is digiscoping?

Digiscoping is where a camera is attached to a telescope or spotting scope and uses the scope as a telephoto lens. In the world of telescopes, this opens up the night sky and lunar and planetary photography.
