43,200 Ranging Points
The DJI LiDAR Range Finder works as a focus assistant that can cast up to 43,200 focus points in any given environment. Particularly useful in low-light scenes, the LiDAR does not rely on the surface texture of the subject and therefore can detect objects much easier. The results are exceptional focusing capabilities that make for much easier hand-held shooting and perfectly focused footage.
Up to a 14 Metre Range
For most ‘normal’ shooting conditions the DJI LiDAR has a detection range of 7 metres, comfortably detecting human subjects within this range. For strongly lit environments the LiDAR’s detection range expands up to 14-metres away for impressive focusing capabilities.
Built-in Camera
A built-in camera heads the technology within the LiDAR. With an equivalent focal length of 30mm and a Wide Field of View of 70º, the camera can handle the focusing needs of most shooting scenarios.
Works with Manual Lenses
Pair this Range Finder with the new DJI Focus Motor (2022) to enable autofocus on manual lenses. The feature requires a brief lens calibration, after which the Range Finder is able to work with the manual focus on the lens for extremely precise focusing. The Range Finder can store multiple lens calibrations at once for an easy interchangeable setup.
For DJI RS 3 Pro
The DJI LiDAR Range Finder is designed to partner with the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal. When working together the Range Finder can use the RS 3 Pro’s ActiveTrack Pro mode to deliver even better subject identification and tracking performance.
