DJI has designed their new DJI Video Transmitter in order to deliver an integrated solution, combining a video receiver, monitor, controller and recorder in one easy set-up. Featuring an amazing 6km/20,000ft on-ground transmission distance the DJI Video Transmitter offers crews on large sets a fantastic remote visual and audio monitoring experience. The DJI Video transmitter has been developed for integration with Ronin series products and DJI Master Wheels. Pair with the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor for an efficient workflow.
Long-Distance HD Live Feed
Developed with the O3 Pro Video transmission technology, the DJI Video Transmitter is able to achieve up to 6km/20,000ft of transmission distance. The technology allows transmissions at 1080p/60fps at a max bit rate of 50Mbps, along with live audio monitoring at 16-bit 48 kHz.
End-to-End Ultra-Low Latency
Designed with the same chip solution as Ronin 4D, the DJI video transmitter and receiver have been explicitly optimized. Every link provides end-to-end ultra-low transmission latency. Making it ideal for use with cinema cameras like ALEXA Mini LF.
Up to 23 channel options
Thanks to the integration of the o3 Pro technology, DFS bands are added on top of the traditional 2.4 GHz and 5,8 GHz frequency bands. This provided a larger range of channel options, offering up to 23 options. Making it brilliant for professional crews, allowing for more compliant and interference-free transmission channels.
Seamless Auto Frequency Hopping
Supporting triple-band automatic frequency hopping, the DJI Video Transmitter automatically scans the electromagnetic environment, looking for the best wireless channel. A built-in frequency sweeper lets you manually select the optimal channel. This helps to reduce interference between devices.
Enhanced Transmitter signal
Mount DJI’s High-Gain antennas to boost the range of the DJI Video Transmitter by 40%, this extended range is fantastic for large-scale productions and film sets.
Two transmission modes
The DJI Video Transmitter allows the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor to support one transmitter with multiple receivers for both video and audio feeds. Allowing for two transmission modes Control mode and Broadcast mode.
Control mode
Control mode delivers optimal transmission performance, this allows you to monitor from two receivers simultaneously, while the Ronin 2, RS 3 Pro and camera focus can be controlled remotely.
Broadcast mode
A larger crew, with multiple teams and departments, may require more access to a broad range of channels. Enabling Broadcast mode on top of Control mode allows access to an unlimited number of receivers.
Smooth, coordinated transmission
DJI’s Video Transmitter can operate with 20 or more transmitters sending signals to 20 or more monitors simultaneously. This allows for a smooth and coordinated transmission experience, this is difficult to achieve with other more traditional setups.
Integrated Design
DJI’s transmission system has been designed to integrate a DJI High-Bright monitor with a built-in receiver. This allows for maximum portability and an efficient setup, enabling you to set up and get started quickly.
Built-in image processing chip
A built-in image processing chip can be found within the remote monitor, this chip has also been used on the Ronin 4D. Because of this feature, you have access to a plethora of additional features as well as monitoring for integrated and efficient receiving, monitoring, control and recording.
Wide-gamut touchscreen
Pairing the DJI Video transmitter unit with the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor enables optimal high-quality performance. Equipped with a 7-inch wide gamut touchscreen, a brightness of up to 1,500 nits and a 1920x1200 resolution. Providing you with a fantastically clear touchscreen display. The screen display itself has a non-intrusive interface, showing details such as shooting parameters for seamless monitoring. As standard the remote monitor comes with a tempered glass screen protector and a professional monitor hood, ensuring that the colours seen on the screen are rich and true-to-life in all lighting conditions.
Independent recording and playback
A MicroSD card slot can be found on the High-Bright Remote Monitor, record and playback a 1080p/60fps H.264 live feed while having access to video timecodes. Fantastic for editing proxies while still on set.
Built-in motion controller
With a built-in gyroscopic sensor, the high-bright remote monitor can act as a standalone motion controller for the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro based on your natural hand motions, without needing additional accessories. Achieve more complex camera movements based that you might not be able to achieve by other means. This can be especially useful if working from a moving vehicle or with a jib.
Compatible with Ronin 4D Hand Grips
DJI have developed their DJI Ronin 4D Hand Grips(sold separately) for use with the DJI High-Bright Remote monitor. This addition allows you to control the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro remotely. Simply add on to the High-Bright Remote Monitors expansion-protective frame.
Easy-to-use controls
The Ronin 4D Hand Grips have been designed with easy-to-use ergonomic controls. Simply use the joystick to control the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro gimbal. Use the focus wheel to control focusing and adjust the camera parameters, such as aperture, shutter and ISO.
Compatible with DJI Master Wheels and DJI Force Pro
Thanks to the use of the remote monitor, when used with either the DJI Master Wheels or DJI Force Pro (sold separately) you can achieve a more advanced gimbal control when using the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro. The equipment will then transmit control signals directly through DJI transmission. In action to advance gimbal control, this also boosts the transmission performance and enhances signal range, stability and anti-interference capabilities.
Direct power supply by gimbal
Power the DJI Video Transmitter directly through the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro gimbal, simply attach it to the cold shoe mount on the bottom of the gimbal and power it without any additional batteries.
Multiple power Solutions
The Video Transmitter is compatible with the DJI WB37 Battery and can be used with the NP-F Battery Adapter, allowing you to use universal batteries. V-mount battery adapters can be mounted to the front or rear of the video transmitter via pogo pins on both the front and back of the video transmitter. This allows you to move freely, around a set.
P-TAP to DC-IN power option
Continuous power can be supplied to the video transmitter via a P-TAP to DC-in power cable. Providing a steady secure stream of power can be ideal for more stationary situations, allowing for a more dependable power supply.
