Powerful and Flexible
Despite its compact form factor, the EF-60 flash has a maximum Guide Number of 60 (ISO 100m and flash coverage setting at 200mm). The flash head itself can be adjusted by 90º upwards or by 180º degrees either left or right so that you have full control over the placement of your flash direction. Bounce the light off a wall or ceiling to imitate natural light and avoid harsh shadows.

The EF-60 flash coverage ranges from 24mm to 200mm and can also be extended to approximately 16mm when you utilise the built-in diffuser. The flash also features an Auto Zoom function, which adjusts the coverage according to the angle of view of the lens being used.
Multiple Modes
The EF-60 features a TTL mode which automatically calculates the optimum exposure as well as Manual mode to allow users to adjust the output power themselves. The EF-60 also supports FP High-Speed Sync, allowing flash synchronization at a shutter speed as fast as 1/8000 sec. This gives you greater flexibility when using flash, for example when you might be shooting with the wide aperture wide open and in bright daylight.
Wireless for Remote Triggering
The EF-60 has a built-in receiver for the wireless communications system called NAS (Nissin Air System), and when combined with the Wireless Commander EF-W1, or the Nissin Air10s, it can be triggered remotely. This function provides great versatility for the photographer as you will be able to use the flash even if you need to place it in a location where obstacles may be blocking the line of sight or even outdoors in bright sunlight. The EF-60 also features the optical wireless mode. When using the Fujifilm EF-X500 as the master unit (commander) you are able to create a stable wireless system in environments which have less than optimum radio communications.
Great for Stills and Video
The EF-60 uses a xenon flash tube as well as a high-luminance white LED light for versatile applications, for example, you can use a constant light whilst filming or even use the flash as a catch light or to provide AF-assist light.
