Lens Construction
This GF 55mm lens has been constructed with 14 lens elements in 10 groups, utilizing two aspherical lenses as well as two ED lenses, enabling this lens to suppress axial chromatic aberration. It features optimally positioned aspherical elements and makes generous use of the eight-element focusing lens group. This allows Fujifilm’s GF 55mm lens to control shifts in chromatic aberration, spherical aberration and comatic aberration.
Ultra-High Precision Lenses
Steps have been taken to minimise the onion-ring effect with these lens's construction, the aspherical elements have been produced at ultra-high precision using a mould processed at a tolerance of 1/100,000th of a millimetre. This element is positioned behind the aperture ring, allowing it to control spherical aberration while softening the back blur.
Create Perfect Bokeh
With 11 diaphragm blades and a maximum aperture of f1.7, the lens achieves near-perfect circles and thanks to the large-format image sensor can create a perfectly smooth and rounded bokeh.
Weather Resistant
