- Solidly constructed and robust ideal as a compact spotting scope for walking/hiking to supplement 8x32 binoculars and best used with a monopod (mine has a mini tripod foot). Can be also hand held perhaps braced on a fence post etc at lower magnifications. Pretty good optically in fair to good light.

- I suspect this scope would work at its best from late Spring to early Autumn when the light is more high and even as now in winter when the sun is low in the sky and more diffuse the optics show pronounced purple fringing when looking anywhere towards the direction of the light making focusing on birds in a tracery of fine branches very difficult. I suspect this is the trade off in achieving its remarkably compact dimensions.
