LEE Filters LEE85 Deluxe Kit
Introducing the Lee Filters LEE85 Deluxe Kit. Designed specifically for those who enjoy the portability of a compact system camera but want the creative power and control that filters have to offer. This kit contains everything you need to enter the world of creative outdoor photography.
The kit contains the 0.6 and 0.9 Neutral Density Medium Grad filters to balance the exposure between sky and foreground, the Big Stopper which is used to control exposure and a Polariser to help eliminate distracting reflections. Also included is the LEE85 Holder which allows you to combine all the filters together or use individually for maximum control over your image.
LEE85 Holder
The LEE 85 holder is lightweight, compact and has been completely redesigned to offer all the features a photographer needs.
The locking dial enables the holder to be quickly and easily attached and securely locked on the adapter ring. The locking dial also has 3 possible settings: neutral, half lock and full lock to offer full flexibility when rotating and adjusting your filters.
Just like the LEE100 System, the LEE85 filter guides come with one, two or three slot options. The versatile guide blocks can be easily swapped so that photographers can use up to three filters at the same time.
The LEE85 shares the same clever design features and benefits as the LEE100. These enable better performance and more ergonomic handling
2 x Neutral Density Medium Grads
Included in the Discover Kit is the 0.6 ND (2 stop) Medium Grad. and 0.9 ND (3 stop) Medium Grad filters.
The medium gradation is perfect to filter the sky with minimal impact on the land and offers a moderate gradation between the dark and clear areas of the filter. This allows the photographer to selectively adjust exposure across the frame without affecting colour balance.
The filters have harder than usual grad lines to compensate for smaller sensor sizes and come in a range of strengths denoting the light stopping power of the dark area of the filter - from 1 to 3 stops.
It also features a new grip tab, which increases the visible area and keeps fingerprints off of the filter zone.
LEE Filters LEE85 Big Stopper
The LEE85 Big Stopper is a long-exposure filter that reduces the amount of light entering your lens by ten stops.
By greatly extending exposure times, the Big Stopper has the effect of allowing anything that is moving in your image to become blurred or ghost like, for example, clouds, waterfalls, rivers, and the sea. The filter can also be used on cityscapes to blur people or on roads and motorways to blur traffic.
Used creatively the Big Stopper can change the way we look at moving objects and capture a real sense of time passing in your images.
The LEE85 Big Stopper features useful thumb guides to easily position the Stopper square within the holder and it also comes in a handy storage tin.
LEE Filters LEE85 Polariser
The LEE85 Polariser is perfect for eliminating distracting reflections from water or extends your exposure to convey a sense of peace and stillness.
The Polariser is thin and lightweight and has been designed to attach to the holder quickly and easily. This allows the user to make rapid adjustments in fast-changing light conditions.
Constructed using a lightweight, high-transmission polariser glass, with a subtle warm tone to help intensify natural colours, it features an integral ring with two clips, and simply snaps on to the front of the LEE85 Filter Holder.
Like all the other filters in the kit, the polariser can be used on its own or combined to give ultimate control over your image.
LEE85 System Pouch
The LEE85 System Pouch holds a LEE85 Filter Holder, Polariser and Filters. Inside it features a handy concertina design with one slot per filter and comes with three strap options: over-the-shoulder strap, belt loop, or tripod strap.
LEE85 Adaptor Rings
Included in the kit is a set of 72mm, 67mm and 58mm Adapter Rings - all of which are wide-angle - as these are the most common sizes. There is a wide range of other adapter ring sizes ranging from 37mm up to 72mm which can be purchased separately.
