This redesigned new generation lens from Leica offers the compact build of previous models, but with a host of improved features including, a 40cm close focus distance, 11 aperture blades, and a rotating lens hood that is fully integrated.

Close focus distance up to 40cm
Compared to the previous model this lens’ focus ring is able to almost double the rotation angle, reaching 176°. This makes it great for any macro photography you want to do, taking sharp, highly detailed images of microscopic subjects at a distance of 40cm or less, and giving you a comfortable amount of creative freedom when lining up a shot.
Beautiful bokeh
11 aperture blades produce a smooth bokeh effect on light sources, allowing you to shoot your subject in sharp focus at a shallow depth of field with a soft, blurred, and non-distracting background.
Fast aperture
An f-stop of 1.4 means the lens will let in more light, so is able to produce a shallow depth of field for when you want to add dimension to your photos. The fast aperture will also help you to produce sharp images in low-light situations.
Integrated lens hood
Reducing lens flare and improving the contrast of the image; as well as saving you space so you won’t need to pack a separate lens hood, the integrated lens hood can simply be rotated out from the end of the lens.
