Zeiss have just launched two new DTI 6 Thermal Imaging Cameras. The Zeiss DTI Thermal Imaging Camera - 6/20 and the Zeiss DTI Thermal Imaging Camera - 6/40. Designed to give you all the fine details even when birdwatching in low light. Using ZEISS’ Smart Image Processing (ZSIP Pro) algorithm, the 6/40 produces sharp, high-contrast thermal images from its 640 × 480 sensor.
Should I buy the Zeiss DTI 6/20 or DTI 6/40?
The Zeiss DTI 6/20 offers viewing opportunities that are especially suitable for use in wooded areas. The wide field of view (38 metres @100m) alongside the outstanding Zeiss optics provides the perfect view, especially over short distances.
The Zeiss DTI 6/40 is particularly suitable for use in the open field. The unique optical design ensures precise views and excellent detail at distances of more than 2 km. This provides a considerable advantage over long distances.
Interchangeable Lenses
The DTI 6 range allows you to swap out the lens to fit your current situation. The ZEISS DTI 6 ZB 20mm Lens and ZEISS DTI 6 ZB 40mm Lens can be purchased separately.
Accessories Available
The ZEISS DTI 6 ZB Battery Pack is a high-quality, lithium-ion battery designed specifically for use with the Zeiss 6/20 and 6/40 DTI Thermal Imaging Cameras. It has a capacity of 3,200 mAh that provides up to 6.5 hours of continuous observation. This can be used as a replacement or as a spare to give you even more power when out in the field. This can be used with the ZEISS DTI 6 ZB Charging Tray, available separately.
