High-resolution next-generation sound
Capture high-resolution 96Khz/ 24-bit recording quality in a lossless compression FLAC format. This format helps to retain the sound quality during recording and playback. The LS-P5 also provides an MP3 Audio format option, available up to 320kps. A maximum sampling frequency of 96Khz and linear PCM recording quantization bit rate of up to 24bits allows you to capture extraordinary high-quality audio, in a relatively small file size.
TRESMIC II Directional Control
Featuring a built-in zoom microphone, this system combines input from the three microphones, adjusting the directionality in 21 levels to provide an optimal recording, without compromising on audio quality.
Bluetooth Enabled
The LS-P5 Linear PCM Recorder is Bluetooth enabled, this allows you to monitor the recorded sound via wireless headphones and control the recording unit via the DVR.Remote App on your smartphone. Eliminating the need for a wired connection allows you to maintain a sleek and compact recording kit, it also allows you more range than would be achievable with a wired connection. Control and monitor the LS-P5 at a distance of up to 10m (32ft).
Built-in memory and Micro SD Card space
Produced with a 16GB built-in memory capacity, the LS-P5 can record up to 7 hours of 96kHz/24-bit Hi-Res audio or a large 21 hours in CD quality. Coupled with the long battery life, you have the potential to record a whole day of audio without stopping to adjust memory cards. For those who will need to capture more than the built-in storage capacity will tolerate, there is a Micro SD Card slot available. This slot can hold a Micro SD card up to 2TB and can give you up to 125x more storage capacity.
Long battery life
The LS-P5 Linear PCM recorder has been designed with 2 AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries. These can be charged via a USB connection and provide up to 37 hours of battery life. Parallel powering and charging of the battery is supported, allowing you to charge the recording device while still in use.

Multiple intelligent recording modes are available, including Auto, Manual and Smart recording modes. Each can be used for creating a customised sound recording The Intelligent Auto mode can automatically adjust sound levels dynamically, while the Manual mode allows for fine-tuning of the recording levels to match the audio source volume. Smart recording assists in achieving the optimum sound level, this is set by listening to the environment before recording.
Custom Scene Modes
There are a number of scene modes that can be customised with your custom settings, allowing you to record with ease. Scene modes include a mode such as Noisy Situation, this mode has been created for the specific use of recording spoken audio in a very noisy environment. The LS-P5 achieve this by making use of its 2-Mic Noise Cancellation system. Listening to the background noise through one microphone while the user speaks into the other microphone.
Bright Sound
The bright sound mode has been created and designed for optimal voice recording, this can be ideal for use when recording podcasts, or any spoken word. This mode records with elevated mid to high-range levels, letting you capture audio while minimising the effects of ambient sounds.
Pre-recording
The pre-recording mode can be ideal when trying to capture audio of bird songs or lectures. The 2-second pre-record helps to reduce the effect of control lag which could lead to some sound being lost at the start of your audio clip.
USB Audio Mode
In studio environments and recording directly into your laptop, the LS-P5 can be used as a USB microphone and speaker. This mode is perfect for streaming or virtual online meetings.
Multiple ports
While the LS-P5 does have Bluetooth connectivity, there may be moments when using a wired connection is preferable. The LS-P5 has a MIC-IN/ Line-in port as well as a headphone-out port. These can be useful for connecting an external microphone or using the recorder as a camera microphone.
Slate and Test Tone Available
The LS-P5 has both Slate Tone and Test Tone available when used as a camera microphone. Slate Tone sends a reference signal to your digital camera for easier editing, while Test Tone enables you to set the camera audio recording levels.

Onboard Editing & Playback Functions
There are a number of onboard editing and Playback functions available in the LS-P5 recorder. For example, you can use the normalisation feature to increase the audio volume while maintaining quality and avoiding distortion. There is also an audio file divided and trimming feature available that can be used to make quick adjustments to your clips, for example, slip a longer clip into smaller parts without post-processing. This onboard trimming feature can also be used to add fade-in and out to your audio files.
Easy File Organisation
The recordings can be organised via custom folders, you can change the folders and file names using the DVR.Remote smartphone app. Each of your recorded clips can be easily searchable thanks to the calendar format, this automatically marks each recording with a date and is displayed in a calendar format
Playback Options
The LS-P5 has an efficient voice playback option and a noise cancellation playback option. These two options have been designed to deliver the best quality audio playback based on the required situation. Noise cancellation playback can be used for a clearer playback audio quality, while efficient voice playback can be used to automatically skip over non-voice parts. This playback option can be ideal when transcribing and making notes from a lecture or an interview.
