Bright f2.0 Aperture
Throw the aperture wide open with the Samyang 12mm f2.0. Ideal for capturing bright imagery even in dim environments. Six aperture blades, designed to be an almost complete circle when closed, create a starlike array of defined bokeh and beautiful depth of field.
Nano Coating System
This lens was one of the first to incorporate the independent NCS (Nano Coating System) technology that creates even lower reflection rates and higher contrast than the original UMC (Ultra Multi Coating). The results are vibrant images with depth, contrast and minimal flare.
Special Lens Elements
Further detail of the lens construction reveals 12 elements in 10 groups featuring 5 special elements; 1 aspherical (AS), 1 hybrid aspherical (H-ASP) and 3 extra-low dispersion (ED). These special lens elements combine to produce excellent image quality. H-ASP minimises colour aberration to render exceptional image quality and high contrast. While ED lowers unnecessary light dispersion to drop colour aberration effectively.
Solid Construction
The frame of the Samyang is compact and solid, made of high-strength aluminium alloy. Weighing just 245g and measuring 59mm in length, this compact design balances perfectly on your Canon camera.
Smooth Focus Ring
A key feature of any manual focus lens, the focus ring is smooth and accurate. Allowing for precise control that produces images with incredible sharpness, making it ideal for indoor and night shooting as well as videography.
