Shimoda Core Unit Medium Mirrorless v2
Shimoda has designed their Core Unit V2 for Medium mirrorless and non-gripped DSLR cameras up to 12cm (4.1 in) tall and integrated seamlessly into the Shimoda Action X30 and X50 backpacks thanks to its side access design.
More Efficient Packing
The Core Unit Medium Mirrorless v2 has been created with a shorter depth, enabling you to pack your backpack more efficiently and providing a lower profile with your backpack. This lets you pack your bag efficiently when travelling, which is ideal when all the space in your bag matters.
Side Camera Access
Designed with side camera access, this core unit fits seamlessly into the Shimoda Action X30 and X50 series backpacks. This does not limit the Shimoda core unit, as its size and shape allow it to fit safely into every available Shimoda backpack and roller.
Modular Stacking
The Medium Mirrorless v2 Core Unit can be stacked with a small core unit, creating a similar volume to a large insert. This provides you with more flexibility to stack and pack your Shimoda backpack or roller to suit your desired configuration.
Lightweight Water-Resistant and multi-purpose skin
The Shimoda Core Unit Medium Mirrorless v2 comes with a water-resistant skin, which can be used as a storage case for the padded core unit. Perfect for keeping your core unit sealed and dust-free when your gear is at home and not in use. This skin can also act as a packing cell, simply add your clothes or other common items to the cell and pack it in your backpack or carry-on roller.
EVA Protective Shell and Dividers
The walls and internal dividers of the Shimoda Core Unit Medium Mirrorless v2 have been constructed with EVA protective material ensuring greater protection than PE foams. The use of this EVA material allows Shimoda to create thinner dividers while still providing superior protection.
