The Shimoda Core Unit is a simple insert that can be configured to your liking thanks to its modular design. It can be used individually or with up to 3 additional Core Units in a Shimoda backpack. It can house a mirrorless or non-gripped DSLR body with a mounted lens up to 70-200mm 2.8 or can be used to hold 2-3 lenses and accessories.

The core unit comes with a water-resistant skin that has multiple uses. It can be used to protect the unit when not in use, as a packing cell for storing clothes/ common items in your backpack or even as a shoulder bag so that you can pack a small camera kit in the core unit for casual use.
EVA Protective Shell and Dividers
The walls and dividers of the unit have been made from EVA which gives far more protection than PE foams which are used in most camera bags. This EVA construction also allows the walls to be thinner and use less internal volume while still providing superior protection.
