Sony FE 50mm f2.5 G Lens
The Sony FE 50mm f2.5 G Lens is a wide-angle, prime lens that is perfect for stills and video. Features of the lens include two aspherical elements and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) element that produces incredible corner-to-corner high-resolution, as well as beautiful bokeh. Two double linear motors provide fast, precise AF with excellent tracking performance, with quiet autofocus in a compact and lightweight body.
There are also 2 other prime lenses available in Sony's latest G Lens range (sold separately). The other lenses are the Sony FE 40mm f2.5 G Lens and the Sony FE 24mm f2.8 G Lens. They offer different focal lengths but have the same look, 49mm filter diameter compact design, and layout.

The Sony FE 50mm f2.5 G Lens produces gorgeous bokeh, thanks to its 7-blade circular construction with a large f2.5 aperture, and has a minimum focusing distance of just 35cm with a magnification of 0.18x making it perfect for shooting objects up-close while blurring out the background to make your subject really stand out.
Fast and precise
You'll never miss a shot with this lens thanks to two double linear motors that provide fast, precise AF with excellent tracking performance that fully utilises the continuing rapid advances in the speed performance of camera bodies. Taking maximum advantage of this performance, tracking is maintained despite instantaneous changes in subject motion, making the lens ideal for situations like snap shooting of moving subjects.
Superb build quality
The lens has been constructed from aluminium for the exterior finish and hood that gives it a sophisticated look as well as increased strength and durability.
