Tokina History
With life starting in the 1950s with the founding of the Tokyo Kouki manufacturing enterprise, the company's main speciality was in glass polishing and the mass production of lenses for film projectors. Fast forward to the 2000s and Tokina immersed themselves into the world of DSLR photography. Designing and creating lenses such as the Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX (12-24mm f/4) in 2004 for the Nikon crop sensor, through to the latest launches in the atx-m range in 2021.
