The VEO Active Birder 56 has been designed to perfectly fit the needs of birdwatchers who need to carry their spotting scope, tripod and other equipment over long distances.
Easy Access
The Birder 56 features an extended waterproof zip that allows the bag to almost fully open, giving you access to the backpack. You can prevent the bag from being fully opened by simply clipping the strap on the left. This gives you access to the top of the bag only.
Room For All the Essentials
The main compartment of the backpack has a 32-litre capacity and features a 120 x 134mm padded tube that is perfect for storing a spotting scope. Other compartments include two inner pockets for a 16” laptop, and a 10" tablet as well as a zipped pocket for items such as a smartphone, passport and other essentials.
But That’s Not All
The Birder 56 features a separate 15-litre compartment on the top of the bag. This includes a mesh pocket and key ring holder to help organise your kit. There is also a 390 x 180mm, waterproof side pocket that allows you to store a 2-litre hydration pouch and on the opposite side is an elasticated side pocket that can be used for a separate water bottle, or to hold a tripod.
USB Port Interface
The bag contains a USB port interface so that you can connect your device to a power bank inside the bag and stay charged on the go. This is particularly useful for GPS navigation when exploring new areas.
Perfectly Balanced
The Birder 56 features two rear straps that allow you to attach a full-sized tripod centrally on the back. This gives you optimal balance over longer distances. You also have the option to attach a tripod to the side and use the central attachment for a sleeping mat or tent instead.
Built For Comfort
The backpack has been designed for comfort so as to aid you in carrying large amounts of equipment over long distances. A reinforced aluminium frame has been shaped to follow the curve of the upper spine and stiffens the rear of the backpack, whilst the back features a padded waist cushion and shoulder cushions, with a wide air-flow system. Padding has also been applied to the shoulder straps and adjustable chest strap, as well as a padded waist belt.
Even More Storage
Each of the shoulder straps comes equipped with an expandable elasticated pocket as well as an expandable zip-up pocket on one side of the waist belt. There is also a velcro strap that allows you to attach your binocular pouch through the belt loop on the other.

The VEO Active Birder 56 backpack has been constructed of tough nylon 840D Cordura which is highly weather and tear-resistant. A material that is made to last and will withstand long-term wear, its tear-resistant properties mean this bag has been designed to be durable.
