Wooden Camera PL Mount Modification Kit (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K)
The Wooden Camera PL Mount Modification Kit converts your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera from a Canon EF Mount to a PL Mount. This gives you the power to use the right lenses for your kit setup. All the tools necessary for this modification are included in this kit.
PL Mount
PL (Positive Lock) Mounts allow the use of cine lenses, they are solid locking mounts that ensure absolute security when the lens is attached. The PL Mount in this kit is made of stainless steel and aircraft aluminium to hold the heavier cine lenses. It includes the PL port cap for dust protection.
Blackmagic Modification
The removal of the EF Mount and installation of the PL Mount requires a small process. This can be reversed if you choose to go back to EF Mount in the future however repetitive mount switching can strip the screw threads.

Shims Included
Shims are provided with the kit for adjusting back focus and the appropriate shims are installed prior to shipping. Further adjustments should not be needed but can be checked using a wide-angle lens and a focus chart.

Which cameras is this mount compatible with?
This modification kit is only for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.
Can the process be reversed?
Yes, should you decide to switch back to an EF Mount, the process can be reversed. However please note that despite the hard composite plastic material the BMPCC is made out of, it is still plastic and the threads will eventually strip. It is suggested that you switch mounts as little as possible.
Are all PL Mount lenses compatible?
The majority of modern, s35mm lenses are compatible, but lenses with a rear protrusion longer than 40mm, measured from the PL flange, are not compatible and other lenses may not fit due to the shape of the original Blackmagic 6K body design. Please review the BMPCC6K Compatible PL Lens Chart here.
