Join Clifton Cameras on a Zeiss Birding Walk with Toby Carter: Zeiss's nature ambassador, at the Woorgreens Nature Reserve in the beautiful Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, on Thursday 25th April to explore the local wildlife with a particular emphasis on birdlife. At this time of year, most of our avian summer visitors will have arrived back on their breeding grounds in the Forest of Dean. Many will be in full song and are likely to give great views. There will be ample opportunity to test a range of Zeiss binoculars, spotting scopes and thermal imaging devices under field conditions.

This Ticket is for the Afternoon Photowalk from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. To view the Morning Ticket click here >

Digital Ticket

Please note this is a digital ticket only. Please bring your confirmation email to the event as proof of purchase when you join us for the event.

Who is Toby Carter?

A birder since he was just 5 years old, Toby Carter has grown his hobby and passion for birding into a career as a Business Development Executive for Zeiss in their Nature team. From taking part in the Champions of the Flyway project at the International Birding and Research Center Eilat in Israel, to gazing out over crisp winter days in the reserve at Frampton Marsh, Toby has built a wealth of experience viewing the birds of the world through Zeiss' outstanding optics. For Toby, “The best feeling is finding that one bird on your patch you didn’t expect. It doesn’t have to be anything rare, just unusual”. This will be a great opportunity for you to ask more intricate questions about the optics and their best uses, as well as hear some stories to inspire your own viewing experiences in the future.

How much does the walk cost?

Tickets cost just £10 per person. There is a limit of 10 people per walk.

Can I bring my own binocular?

Yes, there will be plenty of Zeiss optics on hand to try during the course of the walk but you are welcome to bring your own equipment.

Will there be any food provided?

There will be some light refreshments available in the form of water, soft drinks and some light snacks after each walk. Please note that there are no toilet facilities on-site but facilities can be found at the Beechenhurst Visitor Centre which is nearby.

What do I need to wear?

Sensible shoes are advisable. We will be walking mainly on good trails but these may be muddy in some places depending on what the weather has been doing.  In late April we would hope for good weather but would advise being prepared for inclement weather 'just in case'.
