Expertly crafted the XF 200 consists of 19 elements arranged in 14 groups, the biggest being the large-diameter Super ED lens element and its counterparts two further large-diameter ED elements, to bring chromatic aberrations to the absolute minimum. Outstanding image resolution and dreamy bokeh is a result of the high-precision polishing technology used to prepare the large diameter lens elements.
The XF200 gives you 5.0 stops of image stabilisation and intelligently recognises your shooting conditions then automatically applies the optimal amount of control.
Operate the XF200mmF2's AF system with ease
- Focus Preset Function instantly changes the focus to the desired preset position to capture your subject quickly without the need to hunt for the correct position.
- The Focus Range Selector switch will limit the shooting distance range for autofocusing. Activate this function to narrow down the operable distance range for the AF system, this feature delivers high-speed AF when shooting at distances over 5 metres or greater.
- A Focus Control Button is conveniently positioned at the top of the lens barrel, you can use the Focus Select switch to assign a function of your choice to this button (e.g. Focus Preset, AF-ON, Focus Lock etc.).
Linear motors deliver swift, silent and precise Autofocus efficiency. When the camera is not in use a new mechanism holds the focus motor group in place reducing vibrations and preventing the linear motor's magnets from being disengaged.

The lightweight and ruggedly constructed magnesium alloy barrel is sealed in 17 places to keep dust, moisture and cold at bay. A hardy fluorine coating has been applied to the front lens element designed to repel water and dirt, giving you added peace of mind so you can focus on getting the shot. Matte silver colour helps to control the temperature of the lens and reduces overheating under intense summer rays. The paintwork diffuses light and prevents the lens from creating glaring light reflections.
Many photographers will be glad to know the lens collar tripod mount features an Arca-Swiss compatible dovetail groove and will also accommodate both 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch tripod attachments.
