Complex design and craftsmanship of the XF8-16 delivers advanced image-resolving power at a constant maximum aperture of F2.8.
To correct field curvature inherent to wide-angle lenses the XF8-16 employs a correction element that automatically adjusts in relation to the position of the zoom preserving image quality and perspective.
Nano-GI coatings on the front two elements eliminate ghosting and unsightly flares resulting from oblique light.

Robust construction and seals in 11 crucial locations make the lens dirt, moisture and temperature resistant. Fluorine coatings on the front lens element repel water and dirt giving you peace of mind so you can focus on the task at hand.
When not in use the protruding front lens element is protected with a specially designed front lens cap.
