Why buy the Leica SF 60 Flash gun?

A diverse and compact in size flash, the SF 60 is Leica's first wirelessly triggered hot shoe flashgun.  It can be used with a range of M, S and SL series Leica cameras (providing their firmware is up to date). Working as a hot shoe flashgun for the Leica SL, M10, S (007), Q, CL, M (Typ 240), M9, M8 and S (006). 

Additionally, multiple SF 60 flashes can connect to each other for wireless triggering, and they can fire other Leica flashes (SF 40, SF 64, SF 58) via optically triggered slave mode. This flexibility of the SF 60  makes it a fully featured solution for lightweight high-quality lighting.

Superb coverage

Although being a compact and portable flash, it will offer up a guide number of 197' at ISO 100 and the 200mm setting. It features a zoom head which gives a total range of coverage from 24-200mm. You can expand the flash to 16mm which is given by an integrated diffusion panel.
 

Built-in LED lighting for video

It is also beneficial to anyone shooting video and stills at the same time!  A built-in LED light will provide illumination for any video shooting - perfect for facing any unexpected opportunities when switching between the movie and still modes on your Leica camera.
 

Highly adjustable flash head

Workable to gain that perfect bounce flash, you can get up to 90° in upward tilt, plus a full 180° of rotation in both directions from the SF60.

When combined with the SF 60, you have a lightweight lighting solution with superb amounts of creative control at your fingertips.
