Nikon 10-20mm f4.5-5.6G VR AF-P DX Nikkor Lens

Epic views. Impressive architecture. Spacious-looking interiors. Compelling close-ups. It couldn’t be easier to frame the perfect shot.

The ultra-wide 10–20mm focal length range makes it easy to expand space, exaggerate perspectives, and create striking compositions. No more stepping back to fit in sweeping views. And the minimum focus distance of 0.22 m lets you capture close-ups in which your subject fills the frame.

The compact design makes this wide-angle zoom the perfect companion to Nikon’s agile, high-resolution DX-format DSLRs.

Weighing just 230 g (approx.), this lens is easy to use and easy to carry. Engineered to draw out the full potential of your DSLR’s high-resolution image sensor, it enables beautifully rendered photos and movies wherever you go.

  • Whether you’re shooting photos or movies, Nikon’s Vibration Reduction (VR) helps achieve blur-free images and sharper shots in low light.

Shoot clearer photos as daylight fades or film scenes without the unwanted effects of camera shake ruining your shots. Built-in VR enables steadier handheld shooting even at slower shutter speeds, which can help in low light. Operation is quiet, even when filming.

  • Enjoy rich, vibrant colours and edge-to-edge sharpness. Shoot without worrying about bright light sources causing unwanted glare.

This lens delivers superb clarity and contrast throughout the frame, even when you shoot in bright sunlight or backlit situations. The distortion common to wide-angle lenses is well controlled thanks to an optical construction that includes three aspherical lens elements.

Bring subjects into focus with absolute precision. The near-silent autofocus also lets you record movies without picking up unwanted focusing sounds.

Nikon’s AF-P-series lenses use a Stepping Motor that focuses quickly, smoothly, and quietly. When zooming in to capture a photo, you can bring your subject into focus with absolute precision. When you’re shooting video footage, the motor allows you to smoothly shift focus from subject to subject with practically no drive noise.

Lend a special touch to your video footage. Easily compose sweeping shots that will immerse viewers in your movie clips.

Create depth, show more of a landscape, or simply use the ultra-wide perspective when shooting video in small spaces. You can use the dedicated focus ring for precise manual control: slowly and smoothly pull focus from the foreground to the background. Or vice versa.

My Nikon 10-20mm VR has been an excellent purchase. I am already enjoying using the lens and have achieved some excellent results, paired with my Nikon D7500. As always with products purchased arrived superbly packaged and in the 1 hour time slot allocated. The price paid for this lens was also a bonus as I benefitted from the summer sale price, so excellent value.

Lightweight, crisp and sharp images. Surprisingly little distortion at the wider end and it's just a stunning portrait lens at 20mm
Wish it would work with a couple of older camera bodies I have. And it follows the trend of having to find VR in a menu instead of being switchable, and of having no focal length indicator on the lens barrel - really a chore for astrophotography.
