Awesome bit of kit on the d500, swithered over it for long enough but if I somehow lost it I'd buy another straight away
Lens hood is flimsy and doesn't click in as well as you would want

So far so good. Only been able to use this lens a few times, but so far I am pleased with the sharpness of the images. Really looking forward to putting it through its paces when I can.
It is quite heavy, but that is what tripods are for. However on a recent trip out, I did find myself using it hand held or resting it on a post, with pretty good results. And my arm strength is pretty pathetic.

Fast focus, smooth zoom, convenient controls, sharp pics, very robust build.
Heavy but that’s the build quality. Video type tripod solves this.
