As a former Sony a7 user, this is a much better camera due to the 5 point stabilisation and faster autofocusing. The metal body is more rugged and the thickness of it balances the big lenses better. Of course, this makes the a7 Mk ii heavier, which some may think a downside. Most controls are the same as the a7. Images are very crisp.
It is not really weatherproof, the battery compartment being the place where both dust and rain can enter. There is a slight issue with WYSIWYG as the viewfinder does not react well to heavy contrast in, say, woodland.
